VoiceLabsUsage and limits
How VoiceLabs meters usage — 30 free minutes of generated audio a month, and 2 hours a month on VoiceLabs Pro as fair use.
All generation and transcription runs on VoiceLabs' GPU servers, and usage is metered server-side per account. Both levels are metered the same way — by the length of the audio you generate, not by how many times you press generate — so the two are directly comparable:
Free accounts
A signed-in account without a subscription gets 30 minutes of generated audio per month, free and forever. It also includes one saved cloned voice and downloads of everything you make. The allowance resets at the start of each month. Once it is used up, generating needs an active free trial or a Pro subscription.
Commercial rights and API access are Pro-only; a free account's audio is licensed for personal use.
There is no guest mode: you must be signed in to generate at all.
VoiceLabs Pro
Pro includes 2 hours of generated audio per month, as fair use, plus unlimited saved cloned voices, commercial rights, and API access. It is a flat subscription:
- No per-character fee
- No per-generation fee
- No metered overage bill
The trial counts as active Pro access for its 7 days.
When you hit a limit
When an account is out of quota, generation requests are refused with a clear quota error rather than silently failing — for example, agents connected over MCP receive a structured QUOTA_EXCEEDED error that links to your billing page so you can keep generating.

Transcription and captures
Transcribe audio with VoiceLabs' hosted Whisper. Transcripts are stored as captures on your account, listable from the MCP server and the API.
