FAQ

Questions, answered.

Everything worth knowing about VoiceLabs — what it does, what it costs, and where the limits are. The answers below describe the product that runs today, and say plainly where something is bounded rather than unlimited.

What is VoiceLabs?
VoiceLabs is a browser-based AI voice studio from Devino Solutions. Text-to-speech and voice cloning run on our GPU servers and stream back to a tab in your browser, so there is nothing to install, no drivers, and no local GPU required.
Is VoiceLabs available yet?
Yes — VoiceLabs is live. The studio, the seven TTS engines, instant voice cloning, downloads, transcription and captions all run today, alongside account sign-up, the VoiceLabs Pro plan with billing, and the VoiceLabs MCP server for AI agents. We build in the open and post real, dated release notes as features ship, and never a fake version history.Read the changelog
How much does VoiceLabs cost?
VoiceLabs Pro is $8 per month, or $59 per year — which works out to $4.92 a month billed annually. That is the whole price list: one plan, no tiers, no add-ons, and no usage bills.See pricing
Is there a free tier?
There is one paid plan — VoiceLabs Pro — but a free account is not empty-handed: signed-in accounts get 30 minutes of generated audio free every month, one saved cloned voice, and downloads of everything they make. The allowance resets at the start of each month. Commercial rights and API access are Pro-only. There is no guest mode, so you do need to be signed in, and once the monthly allowance is used up generating needs an active free trial or subscription.
How does the 7-day free trial work?
A card is required to start. You won't be charged until your 7-day free trial ends. After the trial it auto-renews at $8/mo (or $59/yr) until you cancel. Cancel anytime before the trial ends and you pay nothing.Start the free trial
How do I cancel or manage my subscription?
Manage or cancel anytime from Billing → Manage subscription in your account. Cancel before renewal and the next charge never happens. If you subscribed inside the iOS or macOS app, the purchase is billed to your Apple ID through the App Store, and the same Billing screen takes you to Apple's subscription management.Go to billing
How much audio is included each month?
The plan includes 2 hours of generated audio per month, as fair use. It is a flat subscription: no per-character fee, no per-generation fee, and no metered overage bill.
Which text-to-speech engines does VoiceLabs support?
Seven TTS engines, including Qwen3-TTS, Chatterbox, and Kokoro, so you can pick the model that fits your quality, language, and speed needs on every single generation.
Can I clone a voice?
Yes — instant voice cloning from a short reference clip, in seconds. You may only clone a voice from a sample you are authorized to use, and our Responsible Use policy applies to every generated voice.Responsible Use policy
Do I have to disclose that the audio is AI-generated?
Audio created with VoiceLabs is synthetic. Where the law or a platform requires it, disclose it as AI-generated — and VoiceLabs marks exported audio machine-readably toward EU AI Act Art. 50 (in force 2 Aug 2026).Responsible Use policy
Is VoiceLabs open source?
VoiceLabs is built on the open-source VoiceBox project, which is MIT licensed, and that attribution is permanent. The hosted VoiceLabs service itself — the GPU inference, the accounts, the billing — is a commercial product from Devino Solutions.
Can AI agents and assistants use VoiceLabs?
Yes. VoiceLabs runs a remote MCP (Model Context Protocol) server, so an AI agent can work with your VoiceLabs data on your behalf after you sign in and consent. It uses OAuth 2.1, exposes six tools, and you can revoke any agent's access at any time.MCP server docs
